chocolate chunk cookies!
As a start of my little cookie biz... i would like to introduce my very own signature cookie, Chocolate Chunk Cookies =)
being a big fan of chocolate cookies... i have always been keen to have my very own recipe. tried many many recipes given by websites or from books, but always find that the end product is lacking of something. to me... a good chocolate chunk cookie is when...
1) theres an obvious amount of chocolate chunks. and when i say chunks, it means its definitely not chocolate chips. its too tiny to be tasted!
2) the batter must be golden brown... and it must have a sweet taste of brown sugar and a slight hint of butter.
3) the cookie musn't be too soft or hard. neither should it be soggy or too crispy that it became so brittle...that once you bite it, everything's gone and turn into cookie crumbs. (like famous amos...i dont think its nice)
4) there should be nuts to enhance the texture of the cookie and to balance the sweetness of the chocolate. afterall, nuts and chocolate are always the perfect match =)
so far... i had tried 3. and all were in vain. but after much research and tries... something begin to pop up.
i found my very own improved chocolate chunk cookies recipe!!! =D
lovely golden brown color which i always failed to get...
obvious trails of chocolate chunks....
cookies are crispy but not brittle. its not too sweet coz theres macadaemia nuts and 72% dark chocolate to balance the milk chocolate.
EXACTLY THE WAY I WANT IT!!!!
xiaomei is happy de lor! haha felt as though i have acomplished something big. heehee. now i can firmly say that xiaomei brand de chocolate chunk cookie is ready for sale! =D
so for those out there... do try it out yea! these yummilicious guaranteed cookies are up for sale! the cookies can be baked according to your likings! buyers may choose to have the following combinations:
- all milk chocolate or mixed with 70% dark chocolate or white chocolate (newly recipe!)
-a choice of cashew nuts, macadaemia nuts or raisins.

Hello there cookie lovers! for those who are interested in the cookies but aren't sure of how purchasing and wish to know more informations bout the cookies... here's a little FAQ!
Q1) Who the hell is the Baker?
ans: me lor. ahaha. my name is Katherine Tan. not from any big hotels or some star chef. just a normal teen who has a burning passion for baking cookies =)
Q2) Are the cookies fresh?
ans: that goes without saying! one of the The Cookie Medley's principle is freshness always guaranteed. the baker bakes only upon orders and all orders are baked within 3 days. therefore, buyers can rest assured that cookies that are bought fresh =)
Q3) Are the cookies done in a clean environment?
ans: of coz la! if people find a strand of hair or got cockroach then how i sell people...right? =P
Q4) How do i collect the cookies?
ans: the common collection point will be Raffles place mrt =)
Q5) How long can the cookies last?
ans: buyers are advised to consume the cookies within one week from purchased date for best taste. but cookies can stay fresh for more than a week.
p.s: a customer of mine told me the cookies are still very crispy and yummy after keeping it 2 weeks in air tight containers =)
Q6) Do you add any MSGs or preservatives in your bakings?
ans: of coz no la! like that might as well ask you buy from other places right? haha jk. basically, the baker doesn't believe in the using of preservatives and MSGs. so please rest assured that all my bakings do not contain such suey ingredients. haha =D
Q7) i love cookies... but fattening leh =(
ans: never ask you everyday eat lah. baker herself oso very scare of being fat u know? haha but anyway, do not worry as all ingredients are of low fat and low cholesterol level. but still, it is advised to eat in moderation =)
Q8) i like your cookies and i got one big fat order. how long will it take?
ans: due to limited effort, baker can only take at most up to 8 orders per week. for buyers who have more than 20 orders, please contact me personally =)
Q9) How are the cookies packed?
ans: all cookies are packed in self made doggy bags.
Q10) Can i have special packaging for my gf/bf/dog etc?
ans: the Baker do offer gift wraps. so please do request additional gift wraps from Baker in your order. An additional charge of S$0.50 is required.
