dont you just love to see the process of various chocolates melting together with butter?
as usual, i was doing some baking experiment and this time was trying to make those round, chewy and brownie-like cookies. i remembered eating such cookies given by a friend bought from England. man... the first bite of that cookie has totally set my urge for reeeeeeeal good chewy chocolate cookies on fire and hence i kicked my first experiment off.
the ideal type of chewy cookies must be firstly BIG. it should be round and give you the 'oh so chocolate!!!' feeling. secondly when you start your first bite, it should send a message to your brain that well...this is not the crunchy sort of cookies. it will be so chewy that you'll feel as though you are biting on a toffee sweet.
last but not least.... IT MUST BE YUMMY!!! =D
so yea there i go. sort out the ingredients and begin to bake the cookies. i decided that i should give it a white icing sugar frosting so that when its baked, at least there will be a candy-like crust hovering the cookies, and enhance the texture and flavor of the cookie =)
round, white, chubby and cute =)
i was fulllllllll of expectation for the cookies coz everything turned out quite well! but then... guess my horror when i saw this:
WA LAO EH! TURN INTO BROWNIES AR?! O.O
heh... hence i immediately make the dough smaller and make sure there are enough spaces in between the cookies for them to fluff up. well... it did turn out quite well la...
and well as usual, i gave to some friends and asked for comments. what i got was...
taste wise not bad la... but a bit like 'lau hong'...heh -__-
haiz. so i think i still got more experiments to do le bah =S
