M&M cookies

now if you can find me a kid who doesnt love m&ms, i'll just have to say its come to show what life is about to the child. who on earth wouldn't like m&ms? to me, its the 2nd thing on earth which i may die without other than Nutella =P

well as i mentioned earlier than its been long since i last baked some cookies (no orders. uhhh time for improvements) and that baking a m&m cookie has been on my to-do list, i hesitate no further when i saw a bag of these colorful addictive gems on the shelves in the supermarkets. the moment i reached home the first thing i reached for is the butter in the fridge =)

neat and tidy has always been a rule of mine when inside the kitchen. be it preparing a meal or baking cupcakes/cookies/bread, i'll just somehow arrange the ingredients. they may not be in order, just randomly arranged but i arranged it just because i like to arrange things. couldnt resist taking this shot down coz the m&ms just look damn photogenic! and i also wanna show off my favorite transparent blue ingredient bowl aka my flour bowl =)

after sieving and mixing in the flour its time to add in the m&ms!!! man you can imagine how happy and excited i was when pouring in the candies... its such a colorful world inside this bowl! i bet my nieces must have missed out something real good this time =D

the cookie batter are then spooned onto the trays. the reason for this shot is that people, i think i desperately need a cookie scoop. i just cant stand seeing my little cookie-to-be doughs are in all shape and sizes!!! trust me that i already tried my very best in maintaining each of their shapes but aye a silver teaspoon just ain't reliable enough.

so after all the complains and whines, the potential cookies went into the oven and Viola! its done!!!

the cookie recipe appears to yield out flatter cookies. initially when mixing the ingredients i was quite shock to see the amount of butter required was actually lesser than the normal recipe i used. but upon seeing this result, i think i may wanna lessen the butter next time round when i bake this again.

but one thing is for sure: the cookies are really yummy and buttery!!! i used self rising flour hence the cookies are all crispy and crunchy. and before i leave, here's a little cat/dog/bear like cookie for you! =)

next up: its a bready story!!! =D
