mid autumn 2008
yea call me a slow pork... i admit i am! its like 3 days after the mid autumn but here i am updating my fellow earthling what i did for my mid autumn this year =)
well i purchased a mooncake press mould from Elyn and like most of her other customers, I GOTTA AGREE THAT ITS A BREEZE TO USE! no banging like mad (i use to get complain from neighbours) no flour all over the table and just press and squeeeeeeeeeeeze! its so fun and i dont care. i might make cookies using that mould too *pouts* =P
anyway this year i didnt have time to make my own lotus paste. in fact i wasn't even thinking of making moonies this year but the mould press inspired me to! Elyn was also kind to share with me where she got her lotus paste and i gotta say, its nice! not too sweet and greasy but i think i bought a tad too much of fillings =P
i bought durian (for mommy and daddy), normal white lotus paste and strawberry (i like!) and we LURVE mooncakes with lots of 'gua zi' pumpkin seed in english right? can't remember the rightful term.
anyway. now arm with this super nice to use mooncake mould and a great place to get lotus paste, i'm sure next year's mid autumn will be more exciting for me! =D
